Ph.D. candidate at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (supervisors: Diego Alvarez and Miren Gutierres) with a dissertation on Artificial Intelligence in Communication and Media Studies. Graduated in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, master’s in computer science from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and master’s in data science from the Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan of Sweden. He is a member of the MediaData lab at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, together with other team members. At the MediaData lab, he has collaborated in several applied science projects, including civicBOT, a chatbot for monitoring the performance of political parties, and amigaBOT, a chatbot to allow victims of gender violence report a risky situation. He is an experienced software engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the telecommunications industry. Skilled in Java, NodeJS, Python, Go, and AWS. His recent experience includes working as a Tribe lead in the domains of product, price, and offering. He has published and worked in technological applications at the intersection of gender, technology, and media, including “The Portrayal of Men and Women in Digital Communication: Content Analysis of Gender Roles and Gender Display in Reaction GIFs” with the International Journal of Communication (2020), with Alvarez and Ubani. Alvarez, González, Gutiérrez, Pardo, and Ubani are working on cosificaBOT, a project that seeks to identify the sexualization of women in music videos and other audiovisual content.
